Dr. Bruce R. Peters

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bruce Peters has spent his adult life in the South.  He graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he earned three degrees.  He has served in Christian education and pastoral ministries with churches in Alabama and Kentucky.  Dr. Peters served on the staff of Shades Mountain Independent Church from 1976-1984, first as Administrator of Shades Mountain Christian Schools and Christian Education Minister, and then as an Associate Pastor.

He is married to the former Nancy Lee Caudle of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She is a Christian school teacher.  They have two children.  Their son, Joel, went to be with the Lord in 1983.  Their daughter, Meredith, is a Christian school teacher and member of Shades Mountain Independent Church.
